Soooo Happy Tuesday all.
After talking with a some trusted friends Dr. Ronald Vigo a 18 year friend and the most accomplished person i have ever known. and Dave Vesco a fellow actor.
among others and having done some soul searching i have come to the conclusion that the best way for me to create a brand and break out of the pack is in the horror area. I have come to the understanding and own the fact that i am really good at these VERY EXTREME Characters. It is funny what we see in our minds eye about ourselves and where we want to go and where the truth or the greatest probability lies .
I am meeting with the talent manager I spoke of Matt Chassin this thursday.
Will let ya know how it goes. He is also a publicist /marketing guy so its a 2 for 1 type thing. His area of specialty is the horror area. he produces horror films as well. Matt has done a great job with Bill Oberst in the last 3 years making him a cult favorite in the horror area.
Its time for me to move up the ladder I don't know if Matt is a great Mgr or not The standard rule is "managers are only as good as the relationships they have and the people they know. The people I have spoke with and that recommended him to me. Think it is a good move for me To embrace the horror area. And that Matt is a great guy. We have spoke at length over the phone and we seem to look at the Biz the same way. I feel it will be a great match
However I am concerned with doing to many B movies and the impact it can have on a reputation. The A list and studio's really do not like it when you have done allot of B movies. I understand the feeling of "to many B movies and the public will not accept you as an A list actor" over saturation and all.
On the flip side of that. The industry has changed allot in the last 15 years. Film actors crossing over into TV and commercials and the A list is not beating down my door, im not getting any younger. I seam to book allot of "Creature" type characters so i feel it is a good move. What do you think?
Looking For ways to " climb the ladder" and reach my goal's
Fr.
